On the other hand if you would like to set up a small income on the side then you may find this interesting.

If you’ve been on the internet for long I’m sure that you have been bombarded with the ads. “Get rich for 1 hours work a week on the internet” and so on.

Well I’m here to tell you it’s not true, at least not for 99 out of 100 people. I work on the internet full time and I know. It’s not easy. I’m not rich and not likely to be rich from the internet any time soon. (Sorry for the bad news).

It’s hard work, takes a lot of time, and is very demanding for anyone without substantial technical and computer skills. Despite what you read in the ads it’s not at all easy.

However there ARE ways which will allow someone with limited technical skills and time to set up small ads which bring in small amounts of income to supplement what you do now.

To give you an example, I promote a book on how to improve your golf. It’s not my book, I didn’t write it, (I don’t even play golf!). Someone else wrote the book and the website that sells it, I just promote the book using a small online ad, and get 50% of each sale every time someone buys one. My income from that ad exceeds the cost of the ad and so I make a profit each week.

To give you some figures. I spend around $15 per week on advertising and make around $30 per week on sales. That’s a profit of around $15 per week.

Not going to get rich on that, am I?

Well no but $15 per week is $750 per year. It took me around 1 or 2 hours to set up the ad. After that I don’t need to do much at all. $750 a year isn’t too bad for 1 or 2 hours work. And there’s nothing to say that if I do it once I can’t do it more. (I actually have quite a few, I just used that one as an example.)

I don’t need a website, I don’t even need to know how to set one up, (although obviously I do know, just that to use this method I don’t NEED to know. Just thought I’d clear that up!) All I need to do is to write a short ad. Oh, and find a product to promote, that’s not hard.

There are large numbers of people on the internet doing just this, quietly writing these small ads and nothing else.

For someone who wants to put a little time into a simple method of earning small amounts of money from the internet this is the best method there is.

I’m not going to sell you a book that I wrote telling you how to do it. I haven’t written a book on it and don’t intend to. I’m not into writing books.

And there is already a book written that does a much better job of telling you how to do it than I could ever write. It will cost you $40. That’s how I got started. $40 isn’t bad to start up what is in effect a very small business. If you just write one good ad and no more then at $750 a year it pays for itself in the first 3 weeks.

Now, If You’re a Masochist.

If you really want to jump in boots and all it’s much harder. There’s lot of stuff out there promising you that you can get rich just by buying their software, program etc. Most of it is rubbish.

I use a simple method of designing websites designed to sell other people’s products.

It’s not easy.

You probably won’t get rich.

It takes quite a lot of work.

You need some technical skills, (although not that much and there are ways to learn them.)

It’s like anything, you need commitment to it to make it work. It is slow but builds up over time.

But don’t bother if you just want to get rich on the internet. This isn’t the way. In fact I can’t show you a real way to do that. If I could I’d be rich and retired myself.
